Meet Angelique Tompkins

My path into the healing arts began over a decade ago with a one-way ticket to Costa Rica and a heart full of questions. I was lost—disconnected from my body, my purpose, and the deeper truths of who I was. That journey, which began as an act of escape, became the sacred threshold to self-discovery. It was there that I completed my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, certified by the Yoga Alliance, which sparked something profound within me. Yoga was not just a workout—it was a work-in, a moving meditation that taught me the power of breath, presence, and the sacred dialogue between body and mind.

Upon returning home, I was led to the Chicago Center for Psychophysical Healing, where I studied herbalism and Chinese medicine. The plants became more than remedies—they became allies, teachers, and sacred messengers. Working with the earth reawakened my ancestral memory and deepened my connection to the natural world.

That same year, the door to shamanism opened. I began my formal training with the Power Path School of Shamanism, a lineage that continues to guide and shape my work to this day. Over the years, my studies have deepened through immersive training and ceremony with indigenous elders across the globe—from the Shipibo healers of the Peruvian Amazon, to the Quechua people of Cusco, and the Wixárika (Huichol) of Mexico, as well as learning from Lakota wisdom keepers in the United States. These lineages have entrusted me with teachings that are felt more than taught—ways of healing that are sacred, reciprocal, and rooted in ancestral reverence.
